Sev,
This bit of news is great however honestly I am a little mad at the same time. I JUST got a PSP 3000 two weeks and already have near 20 UMD games for the system that I've found great deals on. Now with the "new" PSP about to be announced and the article is saying UMD will be dead....what about all my UMD's?!?!? I really hope Sony doesn't leave us in the dark about rendering our UMD's useless, I really do hope there will be a way to transfer our UMD's onto the rum...
I've been playing video games ever since I got an SNES when I was six and beat Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Turtles in Time on the same day that I got the system. I love them to this day and will always play them as long as I live. BUT I do have a life outside of the video game realm. I have a wonderful girlfriend coming on three years that I will most certainly marry. I am double majoring in college for management and general business. I work a full time job. And I see my friends and family...
I posted a comment earlier about this article but now I have a question and I hope someone can help me out. I just bought a PSP recently and I have a PS3 that I haven't got around to sending off to repair since the Wi-Fi on the unit died for some reason around last holiday season (I've tried everything, and I have a friend who does nothing but networking professionally and personally try to fix it). Can I buy PSN games online via my computer and transfer my data/purchases from PSN to my PSP w...
This is awesome!!! Since the first half of this year is pretty dry for PSP except for Patapon 2, it's going to be nice to play some classic PSOne games to hold us over until E3 when (hopefully) more games get announced, this is great! I'm psyched!
1. PSP2 Announcement
2. PS3 Price Drop
3. Microsoft and Sony game lineup
4. Final Fantasy Dissidia official release date
5. More original Playstation games on the Playstation Store for the PSP.
That's pretty much it. Alot of people are talking about this year being the year of the handhelds (Nintendo DSi launch and the possible PSP2 announcement), as well as Sony having a firm stance in the industry. This year will be very interesting, I'm excited! ...
I was personally disappointed with Assassin's Creed since I didn't think that mission structure was as free as I would've liked and I hated having to sit on a bench for a minute to work my way towards actually being able to assassinate my target. Hopefully Ubisoft will learn from the first game. I loved the concept of the game, the story despite it was very confusing with the sci-fi twist, and just the atmosphere of the game. I'm excited yet skeptical for the sequel. Just waiting for more det...
I personally don't see this affecting Sony directly, they're still making money off the game sales, its just that now FFXIII is not exclusive to the PS3, it won't push systems for them as much, I'm sure there are alot of people out there that don't have PS3's that are waiting for this to come out before they get one. You'll always have those types of gamers that will pretty much get a system to play a new game of their favorite franchise (Xbox for Halo, Nintendo for Mario, yada yada yada...)....
Having to play your favorite games on a already broken Atari 5200 controller.....no!!!!!!!!!!!
Seriously....I just bought a brand new PSP 3000 two weeks ago and got like 20 games all for about $300 which is a great deal in my opinion. I'm excited that Sony is thinking about a new revision of their handheld. If they are going to make a new PSP without UMD support I'm going to be pissed and I'm sure alot of launch PSP owners that have pretty good sized UMD libraries will be too. From press statements from Sony Reps (you can find them alot now), that they're not going to get rid of UMD al...
I agree with ya, I think that since Square Enix has already announced FFXIII to be ported to the 360 as well, they're figuring that they should try to perhaps port over a older title that Square Enix owns since FFVII was launched on PSN, in order to give 360 owners something unique for them. I believe Square Enix will keep FFVII to the Sony owners for fanboy recognition.
